Barack Obama was sworn in for his second term on Monday, marking another four years under the same Commander in Chief and presenting an especially momentous occasion for attending celebrities and politicians to flaunt their best jewelry.

First Lady Michelle Obama wore Forevermark to the Inaugural Ball on Jan. 21, accessorizing with two of Kimberly McDonald for Forevermark’s diamond bangles (below) set in 18-karat oxidized gold.
Think Like a Man actress Gabrielle Union (below) wore Le Vian and Carrera y Carrera jewels to the Inaugural Ball hosted by BET Networks at the Smithsonian American Art Museum & National Portrait Gallery.
Union donned Le Vian’s 18-karat white gold earrings with vanilla diamonds ($29,748) and Carrera y Carrera’s 18-karat white gold Mosaico diamond pavé bracelet ($31,300) and 18-karat white gold pavé diamond, sapphire, tourmaline and garnet ring ($19,100).
